Women wear lingerie for reasons as varied as there are styles of lingerie, so when exploring why any woman may enjoy wearing things like stockings, garters, or sexy corsets, it’s more important to know the woman in question than to assume that she wears sexy lingerie for any of the reasons below. Of course, with that in mind, here are some of the reasons that I love to wear lingerie, regardless of the event or season!

Sexy lingerie feels daring – There’s just something special about knowing that beneath ordinary clothing, you’re wearing something outrageous. It changes my posture and my attitude when I feel like a knockout under my jeans, and I know that nobody is in on the secret but me. That’s serious secret agent provocateur stuff right there!

Bra History

In 2500 BC, Greek woman on the isle of Crete started wearing a garment resembling a bra pushing their bare breasts up and out of their clothing. Then Roman woman squeezed their breasts into a breast band to minimize their busts and Egyptian women painted their breasts.

In 1913 Mary Phelps Jacob came up with the idea of a bra-like garment to wear under a gown that was sheer. Taking two hankies, ribbon, and cord she devised a bra. And women started ordering these Sexy lingerie from her. In 1914 she patented her idea and it was titled “‘Backless Brassiere’. Jacob later sold her company to Warners Brothers Corset Company for $1,500.

Before Jacob had her brilliant idea women had been wearing binding corsets or the union suit which was woolen and warm but not supporting or flattering.

The Flirtations of Sexy Lingerie

Women like to feel sexy; pure and simple. Of course when a woman is dating a man, particularly at the very beginning of the relationship, she's bound to have a vast selection of sexy Lingerie to choose from. But even single women like to feel sexy, and bedtime is one of those times where to some, feeling sexy is very important. Sexy nightwear is the perfect way to make this happen.

No I'm not implying that this is an everyday thing, because let's be honest, we all at some point just want to throw on the sweats and the baggy t-shirts and just cuddle up in bed. But for the other times, when sexy nightwear seems to be the way to go, you should know that there are no shortages in options when it comes to nighttime lingerie.

If you are someone who has never really worn sexy nightwear or sexy lingerie in general, the choices can be overwhelming. If you're on the shy side, or just would like to peruse your options without being hassled by the sales ladies, then shopping online might be where you want to start. The lingerie stores online are usually separated into categories of lingerie like sexy nightwear, Sexy corsets, bustiers, bra and panty sets, bridal lingerie, stockings, you get the drift. Familiarize yourself with the many options and think about what you would be comfortable in and what would make you feel you're sexiest.

lingerie as an "instant ego boost"

Despite looking good in anything thanks to her model physique, the 25-year-old says the most important thing for her is what she wears underneath her clothes.

Mihalik has walked for the likes of Versace and Moschino and has graced the cover of V magazine.

"One of the salesgirls at Agent Provocateur told me about a stylist who shops there a lot and has such an amazing collection of fancy Sexy lingerie that she has them framed and hung up all over her bedroom walls.

"I immediately thought, 'Wow, I wanna be her!' I love fancy lingerie! It's an instant ego boost," she told Into the Gloss.

Whereas underwear may be something that normally stays hidden, Eniko insists it plays an important role in her life.

The blonde beauty even credits lingerie with affecting her mood and has sets for all occasions.

"Behind closed doors and in the everyday, too. I would wear a lacy, sexy set on any weekday, because it makes me feel different: playful, cheeky, feminine, and confident," she explained.

"Like women from the '50s, or like Joan from Mad Men. This past summer, I got some Victoria's Secret Sexy panties and bras for my girls back home in Hungary, and my friend Anna told me a week later that the day she wore her gift, she received compliments from hot guys and was confident enough to flirt back!

"In my mind, just because people hide their underwear, it doesn't mean we can't tell what's going on.

"I have a selection for all different occasions: for a day at work - of course, for a model, it has to be basic and a little boring, unfortunately - but I have some just for the gym, some just to go out, or certain panties that I would only wear with certain dresses."

Is your boyfriend a liar?

Here is a story of my friends, she says as follow:

My boyfriend lies about the stupidest shit! 
Tonight, thanksgiving, he lied to me right to my face in front of his own family. He had been gone for a while (half hour or so) and I had looked inside and out for him, and couldn’t find him. His mom called down to a friends house and the friend said that yes he was there but he left about 5 minutes ago (him and his brother walked). 

When he came back and I asked him where he was, his response was ” we went down to the lake to drink a beer”. Not knowing his mom had already talked to the friend and we knew where he had gone. He didn’t tell me he was leaving, he was there one minute and the next he was gone. When we left I asked him again and he continued to lie to me until I said well your mom called down to Lenny’s house.. And he said than I guess u know where I was actually at. There was ok reason to lie. He just went to say hi to the guy. But for whatever reason, he lied. He does this very often.

 He will do favors for his aunt who lives behind us, and lie to me about it until he’s upset with her about something than he will say “well I ain’t doin this for her anymore or that” and it would have been the first I heard about it, I would have heard a different story. Or when he was working with his last boss, they would go do stuff after work and he would lie to me and say he had been working the whole time. Like they would ride around to different shops buying shit his boss needed, than would tell me he had been at so and SOS the whole time mowing the lawn.

 The best one was when he was working at a factory and he would take breaks with this one girl and not talk to me. Mind you we were seeing each other an hour a day MAYBE, so the 5 minute phone call meant a lot. He would lie to me and say his phone was dead or he didn’t have the time.. But a friend of mine who also worked there told me that he was taking breaks with this girl and another guy. He said later that they were just friends, and that she started to come on to him and he told her he has a girlfriend, (the night she came on o him was the same night he told me about her comin on to him, so as soon as it happened he fessed up).. But it makes me wonder if they were just talking than why lie? He will lie about shit from his past too, like certain girls or whatever. 

The thing is, is I can’t lie a single bit about any of the past guys before him, if he finds out I lied about any he flips. But he will lie to me about them. I don’t understand?

 I think it’s best if him as I just go our separate ways either until he can learn to grow up or quit lyin or something. Otherwise I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.

Cosmo hosted our first ever Lingerie Show to raise awareness for Coppafeel, our charity partner who works to educate on the importance of checking your boobs and knowing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.

A seriously glamourous evening, guests got to enjoy complimentary cocktails and canapés, a free nail bar, vintage makeovers and hair styling from Paul Mitchell.
They also got an exclusive preview of all the latest lingerie releases from their favourite brands, as well as style and fitting advice from the Cosmo fashion team.

Bourjois makeup artists glammed up the girls in attendance, The Vintage Cosmetics Company were on hand to apply lashes AND MW Nails were on hand to offer manicures - all free of charge, of course. And once everyone was prepped, preened and all shopped out, they were then treated to an absolute winner of a show, presenting all the hot lingerie designs for any figure - on any budget.
"We've got some celebrity guests and lots of amazing sexy underwear," said Louise Court, Cosmopolitan Editor.

"What's not to like!"

As well as that, they were also treated to two catwalks, showcasing the latest designs from Figleaves, Ann Summers, Freya, Curvy Kate, Rigby & Peller and Gossard, as well a performance from The X Factor’s Diana Vickers and a surprise appearance on the catwalk from Strictly Come Dancing's Kristina Rihanoff.

IS FULL COVERAGE CHIC?

When lingerie shopping, "full coverage" sounds not so sexy. Luciani tells us not to jump to any conclusions. "It's not necessarily higher cut!" To keep a full coverage style sexy, look for one with a lower bridge (the part in the middle joining both cups). They're easy to find in styles like push-ups and plunges, and will still feel sexy. The higher the bridge, the more the bra will feel like a minimizer. Meaning breasts will be encased and covered. Practical, perhaps. Sexy? Not so much.

A bra is never just a bra! "A balconette bra goes straight across the chest when you're looking at it. Almost like it's a square, with the shoulder straps hitting at a 90 degree angle. A demi is more of a half moon shape that curves downwards," she says (seen here on this hottie). "Those are best for B or C cups, and for larger busted women they make some great balconettes."

So you’re just back from Copenhagen…I went to see my movie. Well I’ve seen it already but I went with my boyfriend so he could see it before it comes out and the craziness starts. I really want people to see it now because there’s so many expectations… it’ll be interesting to see how people react because I don’t think they’re expecting the right thing. Not in a bad way at all, but Lars has done a really good job so it’s going be a good present to watch.
